Our ears are sensitive.
Our hearing is a sensitive sensory organ. It’s a proven fact that, depending on the intensity, frequency and duration of the noise, hearing is impaired even after a short time. Despite taking insulation measures, there is an increase in noise at the workplace and in traffic, but particularly in the leisure field.
Provide hearing protection for your ears.
For frequent applications, it’s always advisable to have a custom-made product offering high wearing comfort and an excellent fit. Individual hearing protection must always be worn properly and provide excellent insulation; other forms of ear plugs, however, can lead to reduced insulation effect if inserted incorrectly and even be uncomfortable to wear. For professional use, hearing protection must be approved as personal protective equipment (PPE).
This is how your hearing protection is made.
First, the acoustician visually examines the auricle, ear canal and eardrum using an otoscope.
The ear canal is closed with a special plug, so that no silicone penetrates further than desired during the impression.
The plug is precisely positioned with a special device and checked once again whether no silicone really can penetrate.
Now the ear is carefully filled with skin-friendly silicone impression material until a complete impression of the ear is possible.
After waiting a few minutes, the hardened material can be removed from the pinna. Done is the ear impression.
The impressions are scanned at AUDIA and then modeled using modern CAD software to a final product.
In the 3D printing process, the modeled earmold piece is created precisely in layers.
In a few final steps, the final fine-tuning takes place. The surface is finished and any components are mounted.
